aveI believe I have had the travelinggene since I was young. I have always enjoyed traveling and exploring new areas. During my 20 years in the Navy in looked forward to relocating every few years. Since I retired in 1990 I've pretty much followed that same pattern and moved every few years.
I spent five years in Virginia Beach, VA after I left the Navy. After that it was Austin, TX for three years and Evergreen, CO for two more years where I was living when I met Joan.
One of the things that attracted me to Joan was her enjoyment for camping and traveling and her desire to someday live in an RV and travel full time. Other mutual interests include music, genealogy and technology. Now, almost five years after getting married, we are living our dreams, living in our RV full time and traveling the country.
Come back to our website often.
Throughout my life, I have had two passions that take most of my time, genealogy and quilting. I usually alternate between the two and am happy I can actually do both on the road. When we set up for any length of time, I put up my 2 x 4 folding table and get started.
We will spend alot of time this year gathering family research as we travel the US. I plan to write and publish a book for Leaneagh. My website, www.leaneagh.com, is really a start at having all my info available to everyone. I have been reaching new cousins through the website and will be meeting some of them this summer.
I have been asked where I am from, and I always have to give the list of everywhere I have lived - Germany, Iowa, Minnesota, Texas, Colorado, South Dakota and now we are homeless gypsies. I miss my family and friends, but have met new friends along the way. It is a different way of life that amazes me everyday.
