Treetops RV Resort Village, Arlington, TX - While working in the Dallas/Fort Worth area we found Treetops RV Village to be the best RV park in the area. Since leaving that area it remains the best park we have visited. The people who run this park are very friendly, the park is beautiful and centrally located and the rates are very reasonable.
Hyde Park Bar and Grill , Austin, TX - This restaraunt offers a great Rubin sandwich in a very cozy enviroment. Try Wom Kim's Peach Pudding for desert, it's the best.
Texas's decision to start offering wireless internet at some of the new rest areas in the state.
The clerk at the Las Vegas marriage license bureau. When Joan and I where married we went to the clerks office to get our license early in the morning. After filling out and signing the paperwork the clerk took both our hands in hers, looked into our eyes and said "Live long and prosper, Naanoo, Naanoo". We cracked up! Only someone of our generation could appreciate that comment.
A big Thank You to all those people who make the effort to allow us to merge or change lanes. I realize we do not travel as fast as other vehicles so I make every effort to stay out of everyones way. I move over and allow cars to pass andI stay to the right when possible. On several occasions we have gotten hung out in the right lane due to construction or a lane going away and for the most part, we have encountered considerate people who will back off a little and signal us when it's clear to change lanes. Thank you, you know who you are.
New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival - What can I say, two weekends of the best music you will find anywhere. Jazz, Blues, Gospel, Rock, whatever you like. Twelve stages with approx. eight shows each every day of the festival. A definite music overdose and well worth the $25.00 a day ticket prices.
Tiffin Motorhomes service in Red Bay, Alabama - We took our coach to the Tiffin factory in Red Bay. AL in May, 2005 to get our warranty service completed. Since we had made an appointment several months in advance we did not experience any delay getting in for service. Those without service appointments can expect to wait up to two weeks to get in. Our service list was completed in 2 1/2 days by service tech's Torrey, Mark and David. These guys did and fantastic job completing all the work on our list plus a few things we did not put on the list that they felt should be fixed. We where treated like family. Anyone shopping for a motorhome should visit Red Bay and take the factory tour. There is an Allegro Campground about a half mile from the factory that charges only $10.00 a night (free is you are there for warranty work).
