In mid April we headed east for New Orleans. We had reservations for the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and had been looking forward to this trip for some time. The Festival runs through two weekends, Fri-Sat-Sun the first weekend and Thur-Fri-Sat-Sun the second one. During the week we took checked out some of the sites in New Orleans.

On of the tours we took was a walking tour of one of the older cemetaries. Since New Orleans is below sea level in the ground burial is not used. Above ground cemetaries with crypts are used instead and are a popular attraction (weird, huh)
